The decision making of J&K Ranji trophy team management has come under severe criticism following another blunder in winning the toss and opting field first in the Ranji Trophy match. In

both its matches so far, J&K skipper Parvez Rasool has won the toss and invited opposition to bat first. On both the occasions, the decision has turned out to be wrong with oppositions

piling up big runs in first inning. Previously against Rajasthan and now Goa, J&K think tank were tricked by the moisture in the pitch which ultimately proved worthless. In the first

match, J&K went with an extra pacer in Indian conditions while as in this match they went with spinner but still opted to field first thinking surface may help pacers early on. On both

the occasion the decision proved terribly wrong. “It is a question about what they have been thinking on early and what ultimately turned out to be. It proves that J&K are not confident

enough to bat first and try to neutralize that effect by fielding first. However, everyone knows in Ranji Trophy teams try to bat first and take early initiative of piling up big runs in

order to give themselves a chance to earn first inning lead,” said a former cricketer.
