Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association has deputed expert from J&K as part of two member team to develop water sports in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. The two member team that
has been deputed by the Association included Indian Water sports coach Bilquis Mir who belong to J&K and Captain Vagaram Bishnoi Asian Medalist. The two member highly experienced experts
have been deputed to help develop competitive water sports in the Lakshadweep. They will stay in Lakshadweep for three days and will be part of the survey and recommendatory visit for
developing competitive water sports like Kayaking and Canoeing in Lakshadweep Islands. The team has been deputed by the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association Secretary Balbir Singh on a
request from Lakshadweep Sports and Youth Affairs advisor Ranjeet Kalra. “I am thankfull to the premier water sports body of Country for initiating the process and guiding us in developing
water sports in Lakshadweep a region full of potential and natural water bodies ideal for the competitive water sports,” Kalra said.
