Mark Warburton is still waiting for his first win since taking charge at Nottingham Forest.
Mark Warburton has told Nottingham Forest’s official website that he has been delighted with the performances of Eric Lichaj and Dani Pinillos.
Lichaj and Pinillos were both forced to sit out of Forest’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday.
Forest were beaten 1-0 by Wolves at Molineux, with Warburton making a number of changes to his starting line-up.
However, Warburton insists that he was always likely to rotate, and Lichaj and Pinillos were not left out of Forest’s team due to a lack of form.
“You can’t come into a club as a new manager and talk about using the squad and not do it. Joe [Smith] has been outstanding and I have been delighted with Eric and Dani and it shows that we
have options,” Warburton said.
Forest’s defeat against Wolves has put them into serious danger, with Warburton’s side fighting against the drop.
The Reds are currently in 20th place in the Championship table, just two points above the relegation zone.
Forest were undone last night by a goal from Nouha Dicko, and although Warburton’s men had chances to get back into the match they failed to do so.
Forest are now under pressure to get some wins on board, during their final few matches of the season.
