Victor Wanyama joined Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton in the summer of 2016. Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has been sensational this
season. Wanyama joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £11 million. The Kenya international
defensive midfielder has been a superb player for Spurs this season and has impressed for Tottenham midfielder Jenas. “Wanyama has been sensational,” Jenas told BT Sport. “In the big, big
games and the big moments he has been a huge part of the reason why they have got those extra 10 points this season because they have improved in that area of the park.” Wanyama showed his
quality when he was at Celtic and then at Southampton, and it was quite smart of Tottenham to sign the Kenyan midfielder in the summer of 2016. The transfer fee that the North London outfit
paid for the 25-year-old was quite low as well – just £11m, as reported by The Guardian; the midfielder was certainly a bargain signing. Mauricio Pochettino’s side ended the 2016-17 Premier
League season in second place with 86 points from 38 matches. Tottenham will feature in the group stage of the Champions League for the second season in a row.
