West Ham United take on Manchester City in the Premier League this afternoon. Pundit Rodney Marsh has taken to Twitter to suggest that West Ham United may need to employ damage limitation
against Manchester City this afternoon. The Hammers were thrashed 4-0 at Everton in midweek, as the then-struggling Toffees ran riot at Goodison Park in a demoralising defeat for Everton.
New manager David Moyes was brought in as Slaven Bilic’s replacement last month, but remains in search of his first win having taken just one point from three Premier League games. The Scot
desperately needs a victory to kickstart West Ham’s battle against the drop, but they face the biggest possible test yet – and the last team they would want to face right now. West Ham
travel to take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon, with City top of the league by five points having dropped just two points all season. The Hammers are
struggling to score goals at one end and keep them out at the other, with Guardiola’s side the worst possibly match-up given that they are the Premier League’s top scorers and joint-meanest
defence. Ahead of the game, pundit Rodney Marsh has taken to Twitter in order to offer his thoughts on the game, firstly praising City for their performance in the 2-1 win over Southampton
in midweek. Marsh added that if West Ham concede early, it ‘could be carnage’ at the Etihad Stadium, and given that they don’t have the players to chase the game, they must employ a ‘damage
limitation’ tactic this afternoon to try and escape without a hammering. >> I watched Man City tonight, well below their best, create 26 goal > scoring chances. West Ham can not
concede an early goal this weekend > or it may be carnage! > — Rodney Marsh (@RodneyMarsh10) November 29, 2017 >> My point exactly if WHU concede early. They don’t have the >
