All of a sudden, Tottenham Hotspur’s season is starting to go off the rails slightly. The north London outfit had a firm grip on fourth-place at one point, but dropping points to both
Brighton and Brentford, Spurs are slipping. Unfortunately, Tottenham’s fixture list isn’t getting any easier, and this weekend they face off against a very talented Leicester City side.
Antonio Conte has some big decisions to make heading into this weekend off the back of two disappointing results, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Spurs’ starting XI for
this one. We think that Conte could make two changes to the team for this match. The most notable changes come at wing-back. Sergio Reguilon comes back in for Ryan Sessegnon, while Dejan
Kulusevski starts in a deeper role after Conte hinted at a switch in his press conference. “I think that during the game Kulusevski can play in that position,” Conte said. “I think the best
solution is not to change what we know, what we are doing for seven months. With this formation, we know the way to play, this formation gives us great satisfaction. “But, if something else
happens – I hope not – from now until the end, I for sure am forced to change something and find another solution.” MORE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR STORIES Emerson Royal, quite simply, hasn’t been
providing enough at either end, and after going two games without a shot on target, moving Kulusevski to wing-back and starting Lucas Moura is exactly the type of attacking switch Spurs
could be tempted into making. Aside from that, the rest of the team is what you may expect it to be. Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son start alongside Moura in the attack, while Ben Davies, Eric
Dier and Cristian Romero are trusted in the defence.
