Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio has been discussing his initial thoughts on Gianluca Scamacca. The Italian made his Premier League debut against Manchester
City at the weekend, and while the striker failed to find the back of the net, he was impressive in some areas. Indeed, Scamacca was winning plenty of aerial duels during his cameo
appearance, and it’s fair to say that he looked like a real handful. Antonio has been impressed by Scamacca so far in training as well, stating that he thinks he’ll be a great signing.
WHAT’S BEEN SAID? Antonio had a lot of praise for Scamacca. “He looks quality. I’ve seen him in training, his hold-up play, his awareness, and in the 25/30 minutes he played his leap looked
decent. I’ve been very impressed by him and I feel like he’s a great signing,” Antonio said. BAD FOR ANTONIO Antonio has been impressed by Scamacca, and that may be bad news for the Jamaica
international. Indeed, Scamacca has been brought in as West Ham’s new number nine, and if he’s as good as his teammate suggests, Antonio’s days as a starter for the Hammers may be numbered
Of course, Antonio only wants what is best for the team, but on a personal note, it must be frustrating to see that West Ham’s new striker looks to be an instant hit. The Jamaican has been a
