A Lancaster woman was arrested on suspicion of murdering her 14-month-old son, whose body was found by his father after a mysterious telephone call. Donna Brown, 29, was being held without

bail, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman said. Her husband, Rickey Lee Brown Sr., received a telephone call at home telling him to check the condition of his child, deputies said.

Deputies would not say who made the call. Brown found his infant son, Rickey Jr., dead in his bed, possibly from asphyxiation. Donna Brown was taken into custody a short time later at a home
