As a parent who has been involved with our local schools, I have always suspected that the most incompetent employees are the ones who are “promoted” to administrative positions. Your

article has bolstered my suspicions, only I never knew that there were so many “administrators.” Perhaps it is time for the parents/taxpayers to set things right, and dictate how that huge

budget should be spent. The pay raise that the teachers are asking for is more than justified. If the district cries “poverty,” why not make up the difference by cutting that amount from

administrative salaries? Another possibility would be to give those high-paid non-producers “a golden handshake” and retire them as soon as possible. My three children have never learned

anything from the principal, much less the superintendent’s chauffeur. It’s time to clean house! LYNDA KAUFMAN Pacific Palisades MORE TO READ
