Alemany 35, Harvard-Westlake 28--Alemany (6-3) needed an 85-yard touchdown drive in the final eight minutes to conquer host Harvard (2-7). Alemany scored the winning touchdown on a two-yard
run by sophomore Brian Van Holten with 1:49 to play. The march took 14 plays--the Indians’ third drive of at least 10 plays--and claimed tailback Terry Barnum, who injured his left ankle in
a pile-up and had to leave the game. Barnum rushed for a game-high 148 yards and two touchdowns in 25 carries. Harvard led, 14-6, after one quarter on an 11-yard touchdown run by Jerimiah
Aguolu and a 31-yard touchdown pass from Greg Peters to Justin Ehrlich. Harvard later trailed Alemany, 21-14, and 28-21, but twice struck quickly to tie. Just before halftime, Aguolu
returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Early in the fourth quarter, Harvard took possession on its one-yard line, but Peters immediately hit Ehrlich with an 80-yard bomb. Four plays
later, Aguolu, who rushed for 82 yards in 15 carries, swept five yards for a touchdown. Alemany quarterback Adam Romandi completed 17 of 22 passes for 262 yards and one touchdown. He also
scrambled 23 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter to tie the score, 14-14. MORE TO READ
