CAIRO — Egyptian police named five men suspected of killing 10 Coptic Christians at a church in southern Egypt and asked the public Saturday for information on their whereabouts. State

television showed photographs of the men and described them as terrorists--the usual term used for Muslim militants fighting to overthrow the government and turn Egypt into a strict Islamic

state. Police believe the attack on Wednesday was the work of the Gamaa al Islamiya (Islamic Group), the largest of the militant organizations. The massacre was the worst attack on

Christians in Egypt in almost a year and the first time militants have struck inside a church. Police in southern Egypt suspect the same gunmen also killed three Coptic Christians found dead

Friday near Abu Qurqas, about 150 miles south of Cairo. MORE TO READ
