New textbooks recommended for language arts classes in English and Spanish for kindergarten through third-grade students are on display in the Garden Grove Unified School District’s Media

and Technology Center, 10331 Stanford Ave. Parents interested in previewing the textbooks may look them over from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 12. On June 4, hours will be extended until 8

p.m. and the books will be on display in the district office annex building. The textbook committee has recommended adoption of the Collections for Young Scholars series by Open Court for
