Xytronix Inc. received Food and Drug Administration notice that its new device for detection of severe gum disease is approvable, the firm announced. The San Diego-based firm has signed a


letter of intent to license the device to dental implant company Steri-Oss, based in Yorba Linda, for North American distribution. Xytronix shares gained 37.5 cents to close at $1.625 on the


American Stock Exchange. Xytronix said final agency approval is contingent on certain manufacturing and labeling requirements. The device is already marketed in Europe. MORE TO READ
