Digital Island Inc., whose software speeds transmission of audio and video on the Internet, said its fiscal fourth-quarter loss widened to $113 million, or $1.60 a share, compared with $22
million, or 62 cents, a year ago. The San Francisco-based company was expected to lose $1.69 a share. Sales rose fourfold to $24.1 million.
