Rachael Gill-Davis, known for her role as Gail Loman in the popular ITV soap Emmerdale, is reportedly set to leave the show. The actress first appeared on the soap in a brief guest role in

2019 as Ryan Stock's girlfriend and made a surprise return in 2023 for a more significant stint. However, after two years in the Dales, her time in the fictional village appears to be

drawing to a close. Reports suggest that six years after her debut, the actress will depart from the show, with insiders claiming that the decision was mutual and amicable. A source told The

Sun: "Rachael has loved her time on the show, but it's time to go. Bosses felt the character wasn't inspiring much story, and so it was all very amicable," They added,

"The door has been left open, but it's a definite goodbye for now. Rachael is looking forward to spreading her wings and showing off her talents on other shows." As she

prepares to bid farewell to Emmerdale, let's look at Rachael's life away from the small screen. The actress regularly updates fans about her personal life via social media posts.

RACHAEL’S PERSONAL LIFE Away from our TV screens, Rachael likes to update her fans on her personal life with regular social media posts. Last year, she attended the Eurovision Song Contest

in Liverpool with friends and even travelled to Cyprus in May to celebrate her sister's wedding. Rachael's passion for performing was ignited at a young age. Her love for soaps, in

particular, stemmed from watching them nightly with her mother, Dawn. Her acting journey commenced when she was just eight years old. She began honing her craft at the Emily Laws School of

Acting while attending King Edward and Queen Mary School for her formal education. APPEARANCE ON RIVAL SOAP Interestingly, before Emmerdale, Rachael had a brief stint on its rival ITV soap,

Coronation Street. In 2022, she played the receptionist role in one episode, marking her only other TV credit to date. It's understood that the Lytham St Anne's-born actor has a

lifelong affection for the world of soaps. EMMERDALE IS BROADCAST ON ITV1 AND ITVX WEEKNIGHTS AT 7:30PM, WITH AN EXTENDED HOUR-LONG EPISODE AIRING ON THURSDAYS.
