FIFA President Gianni Infantino has made the striking suggestion that Cristiano Ronaldo may feature in the Club World Cup slated for this summer in the USA. As it stands, Ronaldo's
current club, Al-Nassr, have not secured a slot in the tournament, giving rise to speculation about his future. Al-Hilal is the lone team from Saudi Arabia confirmed for the competition.
With Ronaldo's contract set to expire this summer, he has the option to leave in the upcoming weeks. Infantino floated the idea of Ronaldo signing with a participating Club World Cup
team during a chat with IShowSpeed, an American YouTuber and online streamer. "Ronaldo might play for one of the teams as well at the Club World Cup," the FIFA chief indicated,
revealing: "There are discussions." He further speculated: "Yeah, Cristiano Ronaldo might play in the Club World Cup, yeah. There are discussions with some clubs, so if any
club is watching and is interested in hiring Ronaldo for the Club World Cup...who knows, who knows." Additionally, Infantino isn't the only one imagining new possibilities for
Ronaldo; Quinton Fortune has hinted at a potential new chapter for him involving Manchester United. In conversation with Boyle Sports, Fortune surmised about Ronaldo's breadth of
capabilities, reports the Mirror. "Could Cristiano Ronaldo be a coach? I think he could do anything he puts his mind to. We've seen it first hand during his career. "At
Manchester United I could see him as a part owner, he's done incredible things in football and also financially, anything is possible because he loves the club. The club still loves him
with the amazing memories he created there, if he got an opportunity behind the scenes I think he'd jump to be a part of it." Ronaldo has showcased remarkable form in Saudi Arabia
following his move from United to Al-Nassr, netting 98 goals across 110 matches in all competitions for the club. As the season approaches its climax, Ronaldo will be keen to carry on this
impressive streak when his team faces off against Al-Fateh. Currently in fourth place in the Saudi Pro League, Al-Nassr have the chance to climb higher in the standings if they can clinch
victory in their final match. In other news, the Club World Cup is set to commence on 15 June, starting with the matchup between Al Ahly and Inter Miami.
