Drivers 'hit man with cars' after argument

NEITHER CAR STOPPED AT THE SCENE 14:43, 02 Jun 2025 A man was taken to hospital after a hit and run. Emergency services were called to High Street in Skelmersdale at around 7pm on Saturday, May 31. It followed a report a Honda Civic and a grey Ford Focus had crashed into a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which were described as not serious. Police said it was reported the cars had struck the man following an argument. Neither vehicle's driver stopped at the scene, and enquiries are ongoing to trace them, a spokesperson for Lancashire Police added. Officers are now appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage of the area, particularly between 6.55pm and 7.05pm. Police also directly appealed to anyone who may work at a garage or bodywork shop to keep their eyes peeled. A spokesperson for the force said: "We believe the vehicles may have sustained some damage in the collision. If someone approaches you to repair their vehicle, and you believe the damage may be connected to this incident, please get in touch.
