With Liverpool FC's Premier League trophy parade set to take over the city this Monday (May 26), many living along its planned route have risen to the occasion by decorating the
outsides of their homes in red. The bank holiday extravaganza will see hundreds of thousands of people line the route, which runs from Allerton Maze to the Strand. The Reds clinched the
Premier League title in style at a jubilant Anfield with a thumping 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last month. Since then, excitement has been building for the momentous
celebrations that see the club mark its historic 20th English league title. The parade will start at Allerton Maze and will travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout
and the Rocket flyover. From there, it will journey along: * Queens Drive * Mill Bank * West Derby Road * Islington * Leeds Street * The Strand * Route finishes at Blundell Street The 15
km-long parade is expected to last three to five hours, but this is subject to change. It's expected to begin at 2.30 pm. Many homes along the parade route are now covered in red. One
such property is that of 61-year-old James Broughton, who lives on Queens Drive, Stoneycroft. He told the ECHO: "I’ve put a big banner across the windows and put a couple flags up on
the downstairs windows "I moved up here about 17 years ago and one of the first things the wife said was that we’d be able to see the parades go past and, luckily, over the past few
years, we’ve had a few. "I’ve got friends and family coming up. Since we moved here they’ve said they can't wait for the team to come past the house while we’re all in the garden,
so it’s something to look forward to. "I've got three grandkids who are absolutely made up." See below for our gallery of red homes ahead of the parade.
