Merseyrail services have been disrupted due to trespassers on the line. All services on the Northern Line have been disrupted due to the incident on Saturday evening.
The rail operator posted on X (formerly Twitter): "Due to a trespasser on the line, all services on the Northern Line are disrupted."
Rail replacement buses are being organised to run between Moorfields and Aintree. They have also been organised between Aintree-Fazakerley-Kirkby-Headbolt Lane (passengers should use
Ormskirk services and change at Aintree).
One person told the ECHO: "All trains are off on the Northern Line. Just been booted off the train."
