today and revealed he is "grateful" after working hard. The quizzer regularly shares updates to social media and in more recent months he has been keeping fans in the loop on his
fitness journey, with most of his social media platforms dominated by exercise videos. However, Shaun has today shared a video in celebration of his birthday, he said: "65th birthday,
life has not been that easy sometimes, but I am here to tell the tale and I hope I have many more years to tell." The caption accompanying the video read: "I’m very grateful for
reaching my 65th Birthday today. My life has not been easy but I’ve never given up. "I’ve worked hard, been persistent and have learnt valuable lessons from the multiple times I have
failed. A genuine thank you to all my followers, I will do my best to inspire, motivate and entertain for the rest of my life. Have an amazing day…I intend to." Messages of love and
support flooded in for Shaun. Brendan commented "Happy birthday Shaun! Best wishes. Have a great day" and Christopher added "Happy birthday to you, King Shaun!!! Enjoy your

"Happy 65th Birthday Shaun! You look absolutely amazing. Much love." Shaun, also known as "The Dark Destroyer" on The Chase, has been a staple of the show since its
inception in June 2009. Alongside host Bradley Walsh and quizzers Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis, Shaun has become a popular figure on the programme.
Before his television career took off, Shaun was a qualified criminal barrister, participating in hearings at both the Old Bailey and several magistrates' courts across England, Wales
and Scotland. Speaking to New Zealand Woman's Weekly last year, Shaun expressed his enthusiasm to continue his career. Explaining his passion for the role, he said: "I'm
celebrating 40 years in the job this year and I have no plans to retire at 65 - I love it. I love quizzing too, so I will be doing that for as long as I can." He added: "I never
take being on The Chase for granted. I know it could all end tomorrow, and I still pinch myself that we are celebrating our 15th anniversary this year." Article continues below
