THE COUPLE QUICKLY REASSURED FANS 18:55, 31 May 2025Updated 18:55, 31 May 2025 A Gogglebox couple have taken to social media to deliver a message in a farewell bid to the most recent episode
of the show. The Channel 4 show debuted in 2013 and quickly became a hit, with armchair critics the Warners, the Sandifords, and the Siddiquis quickly becoming fan favourites. Fans have
also grown to love Welsh couple Dave and Shirley, as the two, from Caerphilly, offered their views on everything from Netflix's Love on the Spectrum to ITV's Britain's Got
Talent and Coronation Street. However, viewers at home will have to wait some months until the couple, who have been married for just shy of 50 years, are back on their screens. This is
because this year’s series came to an end last week, when the last new episode aired on Channel 4. The stars will be taking a well-deserved rest and will hopefully be returning for season 26
sometime in September. With this in mind, several cast members delivered goodbye messages to the fans. Izzi Warner and her sister Ellie shared some behind-the-scenes from Ellie’s son,
Ezra’s, second birthday. Article continues below Whereas the Siddiqus announced on Instagram, “That’s a wrap”. Following suit, Dave and Shirley, said: “Cheers everyone! You've been a
pleasure.” Fans flooded the comment section of Dave and Shirley’s joint account, sharing their love for the couple. One said: "Have a great summer!! Thank you for all the laughs and the
company.” Another added: "Aww no what am I gonna do now every Friday!! Thanks for the laughs." One stressed fan thought this was the end of the road for the married couple,
saying: "Please, please do not say this means you guys are leaving Gogglebox!!! Devastated if it is!!!!" Although the pair reassured them that they were returning, they replied:
"no we are back in September." Article continues below In another post, the couple said: "Hope you enjoy the show tonight see you all in September, until then have a good
summer xx" It's not yet confirmed when in September the series will return, however you can catch up or re-watch previous episodes on Channel 4 on demand.
