BARGAIN HUNT VIEWERS WERE LEFT UNIMPRESSED AS THEY FLOCKED TO TWITTER TO DEMAND A CHANGE MONDE MWITUMWA TV and Celebrity Reporter and FRANKIE COLLINS 13:00, 30 May 2025 BBC's daytime
treasure, Bargain Hunt, faced a wave of criticism from viewers this week. In Monday's episode, set at the King’s Lynn antiques centre, it was a tough day for both the red and blue
teams, who left the auction room with losses. The red team suffered a £40 drop after snapping up items like a typewriter, dinner-service china, and a Norwegian brooch. Things weren’t any
rosier for the blue team; they ended up down by £58 with their vase, vintage footie game, and silver pieces. Despite the underwhelming outcomes, the Reds won. Segments with specialists David
Fergus and Caroline Hawley didn’t save the show from the fan uproar fixated on Ross. Devotees took to social media to vent, slamming the programme for its monotonous content and shoddy
production value, reports the Express. READ MORE: 'Absolutely fantastic' BBC series based on multi-million pound robbery set to returnREAD MORE: Hollyoaks Robbie Roscoe's
death 'sealed' as fans spot worrying clue A disgruntled viewer went off on one in a social media rant: "I cannot believe that utter drivel is still going and it's not
changed since it first started!" Someone else chimed in with: "Bargain Hunt is so predictable. Needs a total shake-up. Get rid of Charlie Ross would be first." Another chimed
in with their take: "The epitome of boredom is a wet bank holiday Monday watching Bargain Hunt." Even the technical execution of the show wasn't immune to scrutiny. Spotting a
glaring error, a fan pointed out: "@BBCBargainHunt love this programme but editing a bit off today. Colin Young, the auctioneer, is in a nice blue suit, but when the hammer goes down,
the auctioneer is in shirt sleeves." However, it’s not all bad. Some viewers enjoy the BBC classic, as one said: “I love a bit of #BargainHunt #guiltypleasure.” Just a few weeks after
the BBC revealed changes to its line-up, Bargain Hunt introduced two fresh faces to thrill treasure hunters and antique enthusiasts. Seasoned ceramics expert Serhat Ahmet, boasting more than
three decades of expertise in historical porcelain, graced screens for the first time on April 14. Following suit, David Fergus made his entrance on April 21, lending his deep knowledge of
auctioneering and studio glass to viewers. An announcement extended the welcome: "It's a massive welcome [to] one of our new brilliant experts—it's @SerhatAntiques! Welcome to
the #BBCBargainHunt team, Serhat." Spectators were told to tune in for Serhat's inaugural episode: "Catch Serhat's first episode on Monday 14th April, when he's
shopping with his blue team in #Exeter." Article continues below David Fergus, who isn't new to TV and has previously teamed up with Jules Hudson on Cash In The Attic, also joined
the crew. His arrival sparked excitement as shared in a celebratory post: "Please give a huge welcome to our other new expert on #BBCBargainHunt. It's @1davefergus! You can watch
David's first programme on #BankHoliday Monday 21st April when he guides his blue team in King's Lynn." BARGAIN HUNT AIRS WEEKDAYS FROM 12.15PM ON BBC ONE
