LIZ FROM BOSTON TESTED HER KNOWLEDGE ON THE QUIZ SHOW 18:19, 02 Jun 2025 One contestant's personal admission took Bradley Walsh by surprise on The Chase. The ITV quiz host was concerned
when PhD student Liz admitted how long she had been living in the UK before she decided to take part in the hit quiz show. Nicola, Alex, Liz and Phil made up the team of four contestants
hoping to test their general knowledge skills against one of the UK's best quizzers. Phil from Widnes was first up to face The Chaser, who in this case was Paul Sinha aka The Sinnerman.
Phil gave a great performance and accumulated £5,000 in the Cash Builder round. He decided to play for what he earned but was unfortunately caught by The Chaser and left the show
empty-handed. Liz was next up and hoped to make a better impression. The contestant is currently living in York to study for her PhD, but revealed she is originally from Boston in the USA.
Bradley Walsh was concerned when Liz said she only moved to the UK four years ago. The ITV host thought she might struggle with some of the questions on the quiz show as he said: "Wow
that is not a long time to be in the UK and learn all our stuff." He added: "You're brave coming on this." Article continues below Liz was quick to reassure the presenter
as she shared: "Well I was a bit of a Whovian when I was a teenager so I consumed a lot of British media." She soon proved Bradley Walsh wrong as she displayed her impressive
general knowledge skills. The quizzer gave a great performance in the quick-fire question round and secured £4,000. Bradley Walsh praised the quizzer's performance. He said:
"£4,000 for someone who's only been here two or three years is amazing. You did brilliant." After a tense head-to-head against The Sinnerman, Liz successfully returned to her
teammates and kickstarted the shared cash prize pot. Alex from Cumbria hoped to follow in her footsteps as he tested his chances on the ITV quiz show. Despite an impressive Cash Builder of
£6,000, he soon heard Bradley Walsh's dreaded words: "For you, The Chase is over" and he left the quiz show empty-handed. Nicola from London was the last remaining contestant
hoping to test her general knowledge skills with the chance of winning a cash prize. She accumulated £4,000 in the Cash Builder but she was also caught by The Sinnerman and was eliminated
from the game. Despite being the only non-British contestant, Liz was left to take part in the final chase alone. The Chaser joked she had: "Virtually no chance of winning."
Article continues below Liz was more optimistic as she gave her best attempt at triumphing against The Sinnerman. However, her score of nine was not strong enough and she was caught by The
Chaser with one minute and one second remaining. THE CHASE AIRS WEEKDAYS AT 5PM ON ITV1 AND ITVX
