THE ITEM IS PROVING POPULAR WITH HOME BARGAINS SHOPPERS 05:00, 30 May 2025 Home Bargains shoppers have spotted another lookalike product in stores this week. The discount home store is known
for having a range of beauty products sold at a fraction of the price of big brands. One product that is attempting to rival a well-loved product is Home Bargains' glow cream. The
product has been talked about online as it is inspired by Sol De Janeiro’s hugely popular Bum Bum cream. The product comes in a distinctive orange tub with a round white lid, seemingly
inspired by the Sol de Janeiro equivalent. Sol de Janeiro’s cream has seen over 1,000 five star reviews on the Boots website. It claims to "visibly smooth” and “lift” the skin. While
shoppers have raved about the smell and packaging of the product, others have said they are yet to see the so-called “lifting” effects. Home Bargains cream is being sold at £2.49 for 250ml,
in comparison to Sol de Janeiro’s product which is on sale for £48 for a 240ml tub. The product is described as having a vanilla, almond and salted caramel scent, which is similar to the
salted caramel and pistachio notes described as being present in the more expensive product. However shoppers have claimed to see a noticeable difference between the two products. One
TikToker described the Home Bargains as being more like a “clumpy yoghurt” than the Sol de Janeiro product which she described as being “smooth”. She also said that while the products had a
similar scent, the smell of the Sol de Janeiro product was much stronger. Article continues below She also highlighted that the Sol de Janeiro product took a long time to rub in and felt
more sticky. Overall she said that the 'lookalike’ product did not compare to the Sol de Janeiro product but that it provided a similar package aesthetic.
