more When most people think of Shakira, they often hear the distinctive drum beats in their mind of 'Hips Don't Lie' or the dulcet 'Le-do-lo-le-lo-le' of
'Wherever, Whenever'. But for me, it's her mane of curls which comes to mind as one of pop cultures curly hair icons, thanks to her glorious blonde twisty waves and
distinctive coils. Now, being a bit of a big deal, it's always the assumption that at events, such as Wimbledon, stars like Shakira will have a team of hairstylists that have perfectly
coiffed their look with 1,000 different products and tools. But for Shakira - who was papped at the tennis tournament in 2023 - it only took three curly-girl approved hair products and the
hands of hairstylist Liam Curran to generate effortlessly chic, glamorous mermaid-style waves - and they're all available on the high street, reports OK!. READ MORE: BOOTS SELLING £124
BEAUTY BUNDLE FOR £32 THAT'S 'PERFECT TRAVEL COMPANION' READ MORE: THE £20 PRODUCT THAT MAKES IT LOOK 'LIKE YOU'VE BEEN TO THE BEACH' Creating her Wimbledon
waves with Curlsmith products - which are available both on the website and at Boots and Amazon - the singer's hair stylist shared the magic trio with their followers on Instagram after
the event with which the singer's natural locks were elevated. Boosting texture, kinks and curls, the stylist used the Curlsmith Miracle Shield protectant mist, Effortless Waves
moisturising styling spray, and Shine Oil (which is now discontinued, however its Bonding Oil is a good alternative). Effortless Waves Spray £24.00 Curlsmith Buy Now on Curlsmith One of the
products Shakira's hairstylist used to create her glamorous waves was Effortless Waves styling spray, which is a lightweight formula that holds and defines waves whilst eliminating
frizz and crunch. With each costing £24 (bar the Bonding Oil, which retails at £25) - or £10 for a travel size - the products work together to smooth frizz, boost curl pattern and deliver
long-lasting results. The Miracle Shield is a favourite amongst shoppers who say it 'helps my frizz and makes my hair soft. Curls are more defined'. The formula is packed with
proteins, abyssian oil, olive complex, superfoods and vegan thermal shield to prevent damage and breakage caused by heat (up to 230C), sea water, chlorine and pollution. It also helps to
hinder breakage from brushing and stylish as well as giving ample protection from UV damage - which is great for events like Wimbledon when the sunshine is inevitably beating down. It rivals
the likes of Only Curls' £18 Heat Protect Spray, which is packed with rice water and proteins, and Boucleme's Curl Defence Spray, £22, designed to nourish and shield curls from
UV, heat and pollution. Another five star fan of the hair product said: "I love this. Helps get my hair a little wetter for getting my waves back if I have let it dry a little too much
before styling. The bottle sprays in a lovely fine mist so it coats my hair evenly. Doesn't seem to leave build up either." The Miracle Shield in this routine for Shakira was
followed by the brand's Effortless Waves, which is a lightweight styling spray that delivers hold and definition to wavy hair - without leaving behind that dreaded product crunch and
eliminating frizz. With linseed extract, chia seed extract, aloe vera and more, hair buffs have raved that this product has injected some much needed volume into dull locks. One person said:
"Effortless waves has given such an 'oomph' to my fine limp hair. It's easy to scrunch in and gives volume all day without deflating. Amazing!" Someone else added:
"I have wavy hair and had tried several products which were too heavy for my fine hair. Effortless waves, in combination with a lightweight Curlsmith curl cream, has given me a great
balance of maximising my waves without weighing them down, really happy with these products." Although for some people the scent was too overpowering as one three-star reviewer shared:
"This is lovely, but the scent is very strong. It's giving me headaches every time I use it. Please make a fragrance free version!" While the brand's Shine Oil isn't
available in the UK, its Bonding Oil is a great alternative that targets hair bonds to seal cuticles, add shine and keep hair looking fresh and smooth - it's been scientifically proven
to increase shine by up to 67 per cent. The brand explains: "Our revolutionary Bonding Oil is made of 99% natural ingredients and contains PlantSilk, a unique next-generation blend of
plant-derived esters specifically designed to outperform silicones while being lighter than raw oils." The oil is to be applied after the hair is 100% dry for best results. Although to
ensure shine is added to locks before setting the hair-dryer on them, Color Wow's viral Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, £27, is one of the industry's top rated anti-frizz treatments
that makes hair waterproof as well as frizz-free. The only thing is that it needs heat to activate it, so be sure to apply post shower, pre-styling. Article continues below Elsewhere, Glaze
Drops by Kérastase costs £38.80 and has been praised for leaving hair frizz free and glossy for up to four days. Shakira's hair trio, the Miracle Shield, Effortless Waves and Bonding
Oil, can be bought from Curlsmith.
