THERE WILL BE TWO FLOORS OF ACTIVITIES AND THE CHANCE TO WIN FREE ITEMS 14:01, 29 May 2025 A unique Liverpool festival will return next month with a difference. Laces Out was founded by Rob
May when he had the idea to set up Liverpool’s first ever trainer festival. Rob, from West Derby, had a passion for trainers stemming from his dad and uncles. They, like many other Scousers,
began wearing casual footwear from European brands in the 1970s and 1980s. After realising there were no trainer festivals in Liverpool like other cities around the world, Rob decided to
create one himself. The first event took place in Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle, bringing together traders of rare trainers from Adidas, Nike and other well-known brands. After a
few years, the festival became so popular that he had to start turning down traders, and he decided to move it to the Exhibition Centre on Liverpool’s waterfront. Organisers say it now
attracts thousands of trainer lovers every year. However, for its eleventh addition, which will take place next month, it will take place at BOXPARK Liverpool. Organisers say the new space
offers two full floors of traders, showcasing rare kicks, vintage gems, custom designs, and exclusive streetwear from some of the best in the business-doubling the discovery and giving
everyone more to explore. The event will be on Saturday, June 7, from 12pm to 5pm. This year's festival is in partnership with Adidas and SEVENSTORE, a shoe brand with a shop in the
Baltic Triangle. Headline highlights include the Superstar Studio. Located upstairs in BOXPARK, lucky attendees can walk away with a free pair of adidas Superstars, and then customise them
live at the show in the dedicated Superstar Studio. Crep Protect, the festival’s official cleaning partner, returns with free trainer cleaning all day and the sneaker grabber machine, where
you can win absolute grails if you've got the skills. There will also be the 'Yo It's Yomo' Football Challenge. The viral football sensation Yomo is pulling up with a
challenge like no other. If you hit the target, and win yourself a free pair of trainers. With two trader-packed floors, three bars, two food traders, and DJs spinning all day, organisers
say BOXPARK Liverpool has everything you need, whether you're hunting for rare trainers, connecting with othersor just soaking up the culture. Article continues below There will also be
an official afterparty hosted by Adidas Originals. This will take place at fellow Baltic venue 24 Kitchen Street from 7pm on June 7. There will be sets from DJ Kirollus, Ambro Collective,
Mick Williams LO Sound and more. Tickets for both the festival and after party are available on Skiddle.
