THE SINGER WON £250,000 AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM AT THE ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE 18:25, 31 May 2025 The Britain’s Got Talent final is finally here, but what happened to Sydnie
Christmas after winning the show in 2024 and what she is up to now? Ten acts will be battling it out in the final of the ITV programme on Saturday night, looking to follow in singer Sydnie’s
footsteps. Sydnie was crowned the winner of the annual series in June last year, winning £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. The Kent native was sent
straight through to the live shows by Amanda Holden through her golden buzzer after she blew the judges away with her rendition of Tomorrow from Annie. Staying true to her love of musicals,
the 29-year-old's rendition of The Wizard of Oz's Over the Rainbow saw viewers vote her the winner ahead of magician Jack Rhodes, who came in second place, and mother-daughter
dancing duo Abigail and Afronita. Since winning the show, Sydnie made the decision to resume her education, revealing the news on her Instagram back in March. Article continues below
"Back to school. Let's go finish this," she wrote at the time. Previously speaking to The Mirror about her goals, Sydnie said: "I'm going back to school in March.
I'm going to finish my level three PT qualification. It's good to have something, just in case." Taking her time with the spending of her winnings, Sydnie said in October that
she 'put it all away in a savings account' due to wanting to 'save for a house'. “All I ever wanted was stability, to be able to move on in the future and one day have
children and things like that, so now, luckily enough, I've been given that. I wanted to use it in the right way. So no, I haven't touched that yet. But one day, it will be for
buying a house. "Once I earn more money in the future, hopefully, when things start rolling, then I'll treat myself to something extravagant then. But for now, I'm just happy
to be working," she told the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, Sydnie's plan to take over the US with her music got off to a stellar start with her first New York show at the iconic Sony Hall
selling out in April. Releasing her debut album My Way in October last year, Sydnie released a cover of Vera Lynn’s wartime anthem We’ll Meet Again, in celebration of the 80th Anniversary
of VE Day earlier in the month. Recently writing about her Britain’s Got Talent journey on Instagram, she said: “It completely changed my life and it would end up being a song that would
continue to be my mantra and anthem as I would go through to win Britain’s Got Talent, release my album, go on tour, and everything that happened in between. Article continues below “It
reminds me to brave, to keep going, and to trust my instincts with all the twists and turns that life has to bring. I put my heart and soul into my version and I’m so proud of what we
achieved with it. “I hope I did ole blue eyes proud. I have always been a huge fan of him and his music, and to have him be part of my journey in this way, means the world to me. What I
would have given to of met him and sing this with him.” BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT: THE FINAL AIRS ON SATURDAY, MAY 30, ON ITV1 AND ITVX AT 7PM
