SAUDI ARABIA'S MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM, AL HILAL, WANTED TO SIGN BRUNO FERNANDES FROM MAN UTD THIS SUMMER. 08:41, 03 Jun 2025 Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has rejected Al
Hilal's transfer proposal, as per reports. Al-Hilal were interested in signing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, but Salah committed his future to Anfield and they turned their attention to
landing Fernandes as a marquee signing. Saudi reports claimed Fernandes had been offered a huge financial package to sign for Al-Hilal. However, there has been no contact between the clubs
and Fernandes is thought to have rejected their proposal. Fernandes looked crestfallen as he collected his runners-up medal after the Europa League final, and he spoke honestly about his
future to journalists in the mixed zone after the game. "I have always been honest. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go," said
Fernandes. "I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. In the day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is
like this, you never know it. But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way. Article continues below "If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want
to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is, and football sometimes is like this." The Portugal international won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a fourth
time this season, joining David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only other players who have won it four times. Fernandes' contract runs until the summer of 2027, with the option of
another year. United's captain is settled in Manchester with his wife, daughter and young son. --- _Here at the Manchester Evening News, we're dedicated to bringing you the best
