Now the post-season tour of Asia is complete, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will be able to take a moment and reflect on exactly what needs changing this summer. The comedians

among you will perhaps reply 'everything' and, to be honest, you are not too far wrong. The boardroom remains at loggerheads with the fanbase, the stadium still remains unfit for

purpose and the playing squad have just rallied around to accomplish the worst Premier League campaign ever. However, Amorim only has a couple of months before they do things all over again

in the Premier League. Take into account the pre-season obligations that shall begin in July and, ultimately, there really is no time to waste. To try and forget his issues, Amorim may have

flicked on the Champions League final on Saturday night and be inspired by how a team that was once riddled with squad issues can regroup and ultimately lift the top prize in domestic

football. If he just so happened to be in the United States, Amorim could have caught Beckham laying into his squad. "It’s tough times," a deflated Beckham told CBS Sports. "I

don’t like seeing some of things that are going on at the club. "On the pitch is what counts but in all honesty I’m seeing a lot of things that are not ok in my eyes as a fan and as a

lover of Man United. You have to represent the badge. "That’s what it is about. I’ve seen a lot of things where players are not acting in the right manner. We were a part of a team that

was so well-mannered. We understood what it meant to play for Manchester United. "We understood what the badge meant. Wherever we travelled, whether it was in Europe or in Asia, we

respected the fans. We respected the fact that they were turning up, paying money and wanting you to sign and take pictures. You respect that." While Beckham's testimony fails to

bring into account Amad's side of the story which provoked his outburst, the United legend does raise a broader point that does need addressing. This current group's behaviour off

the pitch, and even sometimes on it too, has been too individualistic. There are some players who have the right character about them but together there is a severe lack of a team

camaraderie and that must be addressed this summer. For Amorim, the plan should be clear. He must whittle out the members of this squad that do not fit with his vision and those that simply

are disrupting this club from moving forward. Only when he does that, will United be able to move forward. --- _Here at The Manchester Evening News, we are dedicated to bringing you the best
