MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE ALREADY SIGNED MATHEUS CUNHA AND ARE INTERESTED IN BRENTFORD FORWARD BRYAN MBEUMO 15:30, 03 Jun 2025 Gary Neville believes Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo are the right

calibre of signings for Manchester United. Ruben Amorim's side are looking to rectify one of their worst top-flight performances in over 50 years after finishing 16th. This summer

looks set to be a busy one, with the first stage of the transfer window currently open until June 10. Already, a deal has been struck with Wolves to bring the Brazil international to Old

Trafford after he inspired the Molineux club's bid for safety. United are interested in signing Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo with the 25-year-old keen on a move to the north west.

Neville believes that the signing of Cunha and the prospect of signing the 20-goal Bees forward could be the catalyst for change after a dour decade at Old Trafford. "Man United has

become a very difficult place for new signings to operate over the past 10 years," he told Sky Sports. "Matheus Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo have Premier League experience, and are the

right type. Article continues below "When I watch wide players these days, they have to be able to get box to box quickly, they have to be able to run and travel with the ball - they

can both do that. "We know the likes of [Jadon] Sancho, [Marcus] Rashford, Antony and probably [Alejandro] Garnacho are going to leave, so they need players in those positions."

Formal contact could begin imminently between United and Brentford but Amorim's side have already triggered Cunha's £62.5million release clause to allow him to leave Molineux.

Mbeumo is in to the final year of his contract and Frank has previously admitted that they would be forced to sell the Cameroon international if the price was right. "I want my best

players to stay forever. I know that Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford," Frank told Sky Sports. "He's thriving, doing well and playing fantastic. "What happens

in the future? I don't know. "I've said many times: we are a selling club. "But at the same time we have to reinforce that there are 10 clubs in the world who aren't

selling clubs. "If the right price - and that's going to be expensive - is coming, then I'm sure the club will be open. But I'm very happy he's here, and I'm

convinced that Bryan will still be happy playing football here." It's an intriguing summer at the Theatre of Dreams with question marks surrounding a host of their key players.

Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony all spent parts, if not all, of last season on loan away from the north west. Article continues below Sancho's stay at Stamford Bridge looks set

to be over with Chelsea forced to pay £5million to not sign the England international and trigger the buyout. Rashford's future has come under scrutiny after being frozen out by

Amorim, while Antony's stock may be at its highest since leaving Ajax after enjoying a successful stint with Real Betis in La Liga.
