SEVERAL ROOKIES WERE INVOLVED IN MAN UNITED FIRST-TEAM TRAINING ON WEDNESDAY. 07:09, 07 Mar 2024Updated 07:32, 07 Mar 2024 Maxi Oyedele has returned to Manchester United after his
“productivity” was questioned on loan at Forest Green Rovers. Midfielder Oyedele, 19, joined the League Two strugglers in January but he only made four substitute appearances after Troy
Deeney was sacked as manager and replaced by Steve Cotterill. After Forest Green’s 2-0 defeat to Crawley Town last month, Cotterill said: “He (Oyedele) has to do a lot more to get in the
starting line-up. I didn’t feel there was enough productivity from him in the second half.” Oyedele has not played for the club since. Oyedele was involved in United’s training session on
Wednesday and club sources say it is more beneficial for him to train with the squad at Carrington. Oyedele will play for the Under-21s whilst training intermittently with the first team.

Salford-born winger is still technically on loan at Forest Green but he is not expected to be involved in any of their remaining 11 games. Forest Green are second from bottom in the fourth
tier. Despite the ill-fated loan, United are optimistic Oyedele will benefit from the chastening experience and they plan to send him out on loan next season. Article continues below Several
