'IT’S AN HONOUR TO BE RECOGNISED' 15:27, 31 Jan 2025 A Greater Manchester hotel which is located in the site of a former nightclub has been named one of the best wedding venues in


the country. Smokies Park at Holiday Inn Manchester Oldham, near the A627 on Ashton Road, is a 73-room hotel, bar and events venue which has won numerous accolades over the years Located on


the site of the former Smokies nightclub and the Once Smoke Pole Grill Café, the hotel and venue has been in operation since the 1980s and recently underwent a huge £3m refurbishment three


years ago when Holiday Inn first took the venue on. Earlier this month, bosses at the top venue announced they had been named as a finalist at the Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards


2025. Recognising outstanding customer service through reviews from customers, Smokies Park hotel was shortlisted in the Large Hotel Wedding Venue category. Posting on Instagram, staff at


the venue said: “We’re Finalists! A huge thank you to all our amazing couples, guests, and clients who have made this possible with your incredible support throughout 2024. Your trust and

added that she was ‘delighted’ that the venue had been nominated at the top awards bash. She said: "Our team show unwavering dedication to customer service and ensuring every couple’s


wedding journey is perfect. It’s an honour for this to be recognised in the reviews that we receive." The hotel, which was also nominated at the WeddingDates’ UK Top Rated Wedding Venue


Awards in 2024, is just a short drive away from Manchester Airport and features two luxury wedding suites, as well as a bar, lounge and restaurant. Article continues below Nikita Thorne,
