Do you personally know any FGM advocates or practitioners? If so, please invite them to a public debate on Medium or some other website. Get them to try to promote their viewpoints in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence that they’re wrong. It is mostly fundamentalist Muslims performing FGM. If we were able to stand up to fundamentalist Christians in order to get sex education in schools, acceptance of the theory of evolution and ending persecution of LGBTs, we ought to stand up to equally reactionary fundamentalist Muslims.
