The information is not official, but we know from a reliable source that the LowCost british ariline EasyJet is about to increase its presence in French second most important airport :
Paris-Orly. EasyJet, lowcost airline founded in 1995 in Great Britain, is well know by everyone for the low prices of its flights all across the Europe. Second european airline in 2018 with
up to 90 million of passenger carried, it is a major airline in the european airspace. Already implanted in almost all the most attended airports in Europe, the orange airline would like to
developp her “Worldwide by EasyJet” correspondence solution. This solution is available for most of the passenger who would like to travel out of Europe thanks to EasyJet. Thanks to some
agreements with long-haul airlines as _Corsair_ or _LaCompagnie_, the airline enables all her customers to gain a lot of time during their correspondence : the passenger takes his luggage
from the arriving plane and goes to the Shelf Connect desk. Then he registers his lugagge for the next flight and gets a better boarding service than others customers. This service would be
available, through a 20€ payment. EASYJET ABOUT TO LAUNCH THIS SERVICE IN LFPO? Thanks to French economy’s review _La Tribune_, it has been leaked that EasyJet had found a partnership with a
french company to deploy this correspondence service, _Worldwide by EasyJet_, in french second airport, Orly. Some other airlines than _LaCompagnie_ and _Corsair_, which are already
EasyJet’s partners for the long-haul flights, have shared their interest to be part of the service. Two of them are _Air Caraïbes_ (long-haul airline based in Guadeloupe) and _French Bee
_(long-haul french airline). _Worldwide by EasyJet _could also be extended to Roissy-CDG, thanks to a statement from EasyJet in March 2018, where it had been announced that an agreement had
been found with _Norwegian_. In front of that, Air France’s subsidiary company _Transavia_ revealed in October 2019 its own correspondence solution, named _Smart Connect_, which allowed
Transavia’s customers to book flights to many other destinations than those they were able to book before. The company stated that a huge interest for the service from the passenger had been
observed, and that the system, for now only available for the flights insured by _Transavia France _and Transavia Holland, would as soon as possible be available for other airlines, as _Air
France_ for the flights between Paris and the West Indies. None of EasyJet, LaCompagnie and Corsair has for now confirmed this leak, but _LaCompagnie_ shared the information from
_LaTribune_ on all her social networks. Nothing’s official for now, but it’s sure this new offer from EasyJet will be a huge threat for Air France in both Paris airports : Roissy-CDG and
Orly.
