You seem to assume that the "Timothy" epistles were written by Paul, but most modern scholars take a very different view. This is based on comparisons with undoubted Pauline letters, showing
many differences in vocabulary and context, etc. This places the authority of the Timothy letters (also Titus) in considerable doubt as to what they say, such as the "women must not preach"
rule that some modern churches still apply.
