Patriarchy as an ideological narrative (as we understand it in the US) ceratainly applies to English speaking former colonies of Great Britain. As you pointed out a similar idea existed in European socialist thought, and it is obvious that American feminists referenced these ideas. In what other culture context do you think "Patriarchy" is relevant? You want to avoid the idea that indigenous cultures are "patriarchal" (in whatever definition of patriarchy you want to use). If don't think that "Patriarchy" is a productive lens with which to view indigenous cultures, then we are in agreement.
