The age of conventional or coal fueled irons are long gone and now all we see are steam irons that have a couple of complicated settings for how to fill in the water for the steam part of
the iron. Even when one successfully fills in the water, the different steam settings in the dial can be confusing. As seen in the above pictures, the steam settings can be easy to
understand but the arrow/pointer camouflages with the background (and is also towards the interior of the iron) which might lead to burning of the clothes. Additionally, the different
settings one would find for the different types of fabric are not designed in a way that the font is not always legible. This is because the font is either too small and closely placed to
each other or sometimes the same color as the background which makes it illegible. This can be remedied in two ways: a. The font can be placed on the outer periphery of the dial as opposed
to on the dial so that the font size can be increased and makes it easy to understand as well b. The pointer/arrow should be made more obvious to the naked eye and should be placed in an
appropriate position which would make it easier to locate it and hence point to the right setting
