FANS OF BBC POLICE DRAMA LINE OF DUTY WOULD BE THRILLED TO SEE VICKY MCCLURE AND MARTIN COMPSTON REUNITED ON THE BRIT AWARDS RED CARPET FOUR YEARS AFTER THEY LAST OPENED THE CEREMONY 19:43,
01 Mar 2025 Line of Duty stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston were positively glowing as they enjoyed a reunion at the 2025 BRIT Awards. The TV stars were among guests attending the
glitzy awards show at London's O2 arena on Saturday night - and they returned to the red carpet four years after stealing the limelight at the 2021 event. For this years' ceremony,
41-year-old Vicky looked ready for anything as she posed in tailored sportswear in a luxury black material and she flashed a beaming smile as she posed alongside her cop show co-star.
British actor Martin, 41, scrubbed up well for his red carpet moment, sporting a light grey and white pinstripe suit with a brown tie. Back in 2021, the duo helped open the show in a
hilarious sketch that also included this years' returning host, Jack Whitehall, and iconic Handford Parish Council clerk, Jackie Weaver. The sketch showed Vicky and Martin lampooning
their Line of Duty characters while waiting for a tense meeting with their 'boss'. Jackie then appeared on the screens and kicked Jack Whitehall out of a video call - before
introducing the band Coldplay as "foreplay". READ MORE: Diversity confirm enormous 2026 tour with tickets out this week Vicky and Martin's reunion at the 2025 event comes hot
on the heels that a seventh season of their hugely popular cop show is being developed. Last month, Christina Chong, who plays DI Nicola Rogerson, let the cat out of the bag when she
revealed she had been contacted about reprising her role. She told the Daily Mail: “So I have been asked about a season, is it seven? Yeah. Potentially Nicola Rogerson will be back for
season 7.” In August last year, lead star Adrian Dunbar, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings, told Good Housekeeping that he was desperate to get back into his police uniform. He gushed to
the publication: “We all want another series. We filmed our last series in lockdown, which meant we didn’t get to do anything other than work, so we’re really keen to get together for one
last hurrah." Last year, a source told The Sun that the Line of Duty cast had already been brought together for top secret talks with show creator, Jed Mecurio. They claimed: "Jed
is close to Vicky, Martin and Adrian and they often meet for dinner – this time it was different. A topic of conversation was how they could align their schedules in 2025 to ensure Line Of
Duty 7 happens. The ambition is filming could start next year and on screens by early 2026." Fans of the show will recall that Vicky plays Kate Fleming while Martin plays Steve Arnott.
A host of stars were out on Saturday night for the BRIT Awards - where Charli XCX stood to win the most awards, being nominated in five categories after being handed one of the awards in
advance of the ceremony. The Beg for You singer was nominated for British Album of the Year, Song of the Year, British Artist of the Year, Best Pop Act and Best Dance Act - and it has
already been announced that she won the coveted Songwriter of the Year award. The show was hosted by Jack Whitehall who previously hosted the ceremony from 2018 until 2021. Article continues
