MIKE TINDALL, THE FORMER ENGLAND RUGBY STAR WHO IS MARRIED TO ZARA, A NIECE OF KING CHARLES, DOES NOT HAVE ANY ROYAL TITLE - AND NOW HE HAS GIVEN HIS THOUGHTS ON HOW HE WOULD FEEL IF HE WERE
TO BE OFFERED ONE 12:43, 07 Apr 2025Updated 13:33, 07 Apr 2025 Mike Tindall has made his feelings clear on how he would respond if he were to be offered a royal title. The former England
rugby star is married to Zara, a niece of King Charles and the oldest granddaughter of the late Queen. Zara's mum Princess Anne decided that when both she her and older brother Peter
Phillips were born, they would not be given royal titles. Mike and Zara married in 2011 and even though the pair are a firm fixture with their children at Royal Family gatherings, they do
not carry out official duties or have titles. Much has been made about the possibility of them stepping in to help out - especially as the slimmed-down monarchy has fewer and fewer working
royals. However, at a charity fundraiser, Mike was asked by Closer magazine how he would react if he were to be offered a title or to become a prince. And he firmly said: "I would
definitely turn that down," explaining that he was content without having any. It comes after Zara, a champion equestrian, also recently opened up about the fact her mother decided not
to give her title and praised her decision. Speaking on the Seven podcast with the late inspirational fundraiser and Rugby League legend Rob Burrow, she was asked what advice she would give
to her seven-year-old self. And she said: "From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn't give us any titles so I really commend her on that. We were very
lucky that we got to do it a bit our own way. My family has a great work ethic as well which I'm hoping they instilled in me and is still going to this day." Article continues
below It is not the first time that Mike has spoken about his royal connections. The now-retired rugby star hosts a podcast called The Good, The Bad and The Rugby with James Haskell and Alex
Payne, where he sometimes offers glimpses into life behind palace walls. Last year, he released a book with his co-podcast hosts, where he recalled what it was really like marrying into the
Firm, and the experience he has had. He wrote: "Believe it or not, marrying into the royal family was pretty easy for me. They were always nice to me, and I was always nice to them.
Simple really." GET ROYAL FAMILY UPDATES STRAIGHT TO YOUR WHATSAPP! As the royals get back to their normal duties after a difficult year, the Mirror has launched its very own Royal

Harry in 2018. She railed against the Firm in her and Harry's controversial Netflix documentary, suggesting the Prince and Princess of Wales weren't warm towards her. However, it
appears to be a different story for Mike, who is believed to be extremely close to William and Kate along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. It's no
surprise that the Tindall children are so close to George, Charlotte and Louis. Mia is just six months younger than George, while Lena is the same age as Louis, born less than two months
after the Prince. Charlotte is right in the middle of the two sisters. Speaking previously to the Telegraph, Mike spoke of their bond: "Lena and obviously Louis are similar ages and
Mia's sort of in between Charlotte and George, and then you've got Peter's [Phillips] children Savannah and Isla who are just a little bit older." He added: "James
[Prince Edward and Sophie's son] is, well, not exactly the ring leader, but he's the oldest. So, yeah, it's going to be a good little group." Article continues below GET
