TESLA FOUNDER ELON MUSK SPARKED CONCERN TODAY AFTER HE WAS SEEN WITH A BLACK EYE IN THE OVAL OFFICE WHILE BIDDING DONALD TRUMP FAREWELL AS HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY

20:27, 30 May 2025Updated 08:44, 31 May 2025 Elon Musk has sparked concern after being spotted with a black eye in the Oval Office, as Donald Trump bid farewell to the billionaire

entrepreneur four months after returning to the White House. The Tesla founder is leaving his position spearheading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to focus on running his

businesses including rocket company SpaceX and social media platform X. Trump credited Musk with "a colossal change in the old ways of doing business in Washington" and said some

of his staff would remain in the administration. Musk, who wore all black including a T-shirt that said "The Dogefather" during the meeting, nodded along as the president listed

contracts that had been cut under his watch. "I think the DOGE team is doing an incredible job," Musk said after accepting a ceremonial key from the president. "They're

going to continue to be doing an incredible job." READ MORE: Elon Musk took 'so much ketamine it battered his bladder' and 'carried drugs in a box' But those who

watched the press conference noticed that Musk had a bruise next to his eye. When questioned by a reporter, Musk said he had been "horsing around" with his five-year-old son X Æ

A-Xii, who he calls X, when he punched him in the eye. "I said, go ahead punch me in the face," Musk said. "And he did. And turns out even a five-year-old punching you in the

face actually does this." Article continues below Trump then said he hadn't noticed Musk's eye injury and appeared surprised that X had caused it. Musk said, "I

didn't really feel much at the time," Musk said. "And then I get some bruises." It coms following a report that Musk was allegedly using so much of the legal drug

ketamine that it began to affect his bladder, and also carried around a box for the drugs. According to The New York Times, insiders said he was using drugs far more than people knew. It

reportedly went beyond occasion use and travelled with a box that had around 20 pills. Among these was the stimulant Adderall, according to an alleged photo of the box and people who have

seen it. The report says it is unclear if Musk, 53, was taking drugs while he was in the White House this year. The report continues to claim that he spends hours on end playing video games

and binge eating. In 2024, Musk said he took a "small amount" of ketamine every two weeks to deal with low moods. He said: "If you've used too much ketamine, you can’t

really get work done, and I have a lot of work." But it is alleged he has been using it daily and mixing it with other drugs. Ketamine has been formally approved by the Food and Drug

Administration for medical use but only as an anaesthetic, and doctors can prescribe it for depression. Musk, the world's richest person, recently said he would reduce his political

donations. He was Trump's top donor in last year's presidential campaign. During the press conference, Trump appeared eager to end Musk's service on a high note. Article

is terrific!" As a special government employee, Musk's position was designed to be temporary. However, he had speculated about staying "indefinitely", working part time

for the administration, if Trump still wanted his help. Musk has brushed off questions about how DOGE would continue without him, even suggesting it could "gain momentum" in the

future. "DOGE is a way of life," he told reporters recently. "Like Buddhism." GET DONALD TRUMP UPDATES STRAIGHT TO YOUR WHATSAPP! As tension between the White House and
