DARTS LEGEND PHIL TAYLOR HAS REFUSED TO RULE OUT A COMPETITIVE COMEBACK AFTER DEALING WITH A NUMBER OF PHYSICAL ISSUES IN RECENT MONTHS 10:46, 19 Feb 2025 Phil Taylor has kept the door ajar
on a darts comeback. Still feeling the effects of major hip surgery, the Power’s planned swansong on the World Seniors Tour didn't come to fruition as he was forced to pull out of World
Seniors Masters in November, which was supposed to be his final tournament. Taylor remains involved in the World Seniors Tour as an ambassador and pundit. He has also been working with the
Pluto TV MODUS Super Series. “It was a bit sad, like an end of an era. It’d been my job for 40 years and, all of a sudden, I couldn’t do it,” said Taylor in an interview for Reach's
2025 season preview publication. “So I was a little bit sad but all a bit relieved because I haven’t got any pressure on me anymore now.” With a new hip and having had his eyes lasered,
Taylor has been troubled by a bad back. If he can get that fixed, there is a slim chance he could return to competitive darts. On the prospect of a comeback, he said: “I don’t think so. I
went to see a specialist recently about my back. Then I’ve got to go for an MRI [scan]. “My back is hurting me all the time. I’m going to get it checked out and see what the crack is. And if
they can repair it, I might be able to do a bit more. Article continues below “I want to be able to go to the gym and lift a few weights. But at the minute, if I bend down, it’s killing me.
It’s old age unfortunately! I’ve had my lenses done, got a new hip, I just need to get my back sorted. Everything else is working.” _GET INVOLVED! WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE PHIL TAYLOR MAKE A

"Would I come back? I would ask to be sent some darts and a dartboard, definitely. "I think also, if it does go to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn't put it past Barry [Hearn] - £10m
for the winner. I think Saudi Arabia is that big of a sports country now, I think they could make it £10m. That's how big I think Barry will make it. I'll be doing something, trust
me." PDC president Hearn has flirted with the idea of taking darts to Saudi but says the country's alcohol restrictions mean it is off the table for now.
