While many of us may dislike some of the characters from the show, there’s no denying the appeal of the stunning locations they film in. According to Expedia, their research confirms that
streamed movies and TV shows are now the top sources of travel inspiration by 40 percent. All of the excitement over the most recent season of “The White Lotus” has sparked similar interest
in Sicily. According to mobile travel app Hopper, searches for travel to the southern Italian island are up by 50%, following the explosive season finale in Dec. 2022. In the midst of rumors
flying about “The White Lotus” season three filming location in Thailand, we felt it only made sense to highlight the previous filming locations in seasons one and two. WHERE WAS “THE WHITE
LOTUS” SEASON 1 FILMED? The first season of “The White Lotus” was filmed in 2020, entirely at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, over the course of eight months during the height of
the Coronavirus pandemic when the five-star hotel was shut down, in an effort to reduce exposure. CAN I BOOK THE “PINEAPPLE SUITE?” While the Four Seasons property shared that they do in
fact get inquiries to check into the infamous “Pineapple Suite” that’s mentioned on the first season of the show, it doesn’t actually exist. “The HBO production redecorated our stunning
Lokelani Presidential Suite, which rents for $29,000 a night, and is often occupied,” the hotel told The Post. “There is no plunge pool (another question we are frequently asked), but the
7,000 square feet [space features] indoor/outdoor living space includes a private garden with fire pits, three bedrooms, two living rooms, a museum-quality art collection and a team of Guest
Experience Managers to curate the perfect Maui itinerary.” While nearly $30,000 a night may be a _bit_ of splurge for most, the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea offers a wide variety of rooms
(380 to be exact) at different prices. Set across 15 acres, the luxury hotel features three pools, three restaurants (including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago), three golf courses, a spa and even art
museum. ------------------------- WHERE WAS “THE WHITE LOTUS” SEASON 2 FILMED? The second season of “The White Lotus” was filmed in Sicily, Italy, specifically at the San Domenico Palace,
Taormina — also a Four Seasons property. Since this season was filmed after covid, the cast branched out a bit more than they did in season 1, where they also filmed on location in beautiful
Italian areas like Taormina, Noto, Palermo, Cefalù, and more. The stunning property (once a 14th century monastery) is perched atop a rocky mountain, a familiar terrain, known by the region
