This love left a permanent mark? Taylor Swift announced on Friday that she has officially purchased her masters and now owns the rights to all music and content she’s produced over the
course of her decades-long career. And in a heartfelt letter thanking her fans for their support and expressing her happiness about the sale — which she said she’s been working on for “20
years” and “almost stopped thinking would ever happen” — Swift joked about inking a permanent tribute to Shamrock Capital after inking their deal. EXPLORE MORE “I will be forever grateful to
everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me. The way they’ve handled every interaction we’ve had has been honest, fair, and respectful,” she wrote on
her website. FOLLOW PAGE SIX’S TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE UPDATES FOR THE LATEST NEWS, PHOTOS, FAN THEORIES AND MORE “This was a business deal to them, but I really felt like they saw it for what it
was to me: My memories and my sweat and my handwriting and my decades of dreams. I am endlessly thankful,” Swift said, before quipping, “My first tattoo might just be a huge shamrock in the
middle of my forehead.” Shamrock acquired Swift’s masters from Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in November 2020. Braun — the retired former manager of on-and-off Swift foes Kanye West,
Justin Bieber, Karlie Kloss and Katy Perry — paid Big Machine Records $300 million in 2019 for the superstar’s first six albums, four of which she’s since re-recorded. Page Six exclusively
reported ahead of the sale that Swift would get a chance to reclaim her name, with sources telling us that Braun was supportive. Meanwhile, Swift posted a few pics of herself with her
earlier albums on Instagram Friday, quoting one of her hit songs: “You belong with me.” She wore a light blue Khaite cashmere polo sweater ($672) and light-wash jeans in the snaps, along
with her gold Cartier watch, a Tiffany & Co. ring and one of her many ancient coin necklaces. We’ll have to wait and see if Swift actually gets inked.
