This Friday, India saw history being written, as Navjot Kaur became the first Indian woman wrestler to win a gold in the Asian Wrestling Championships, in the 65kg freestyle category in


Bishkek. NAVJOT BEAT JAPAN’S MIYA IMAI WITH A SCORE OF 9-1 TO BAG THE GOLD; WHICH WAS ALSO INDIA’S FIRST GOLD IN THE ONGOING CHAMPIONSHIP.  THE CURRENT MEDAL TALLY FOR INDIA STANDS AT 6,


WHICH INCLUDES A GOLD, A SILVER AND FOUR BRONZE MEDALS. 28-year old Navjot put up a great fight, a testament to the fact that she has had a considerable experience in the field.  SHE HAD


EARLIER WON A SILVER AT THE ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2013 AND A BRONZE IN 2014 COMMONWEALTH GAMES IN 67KG. Indian female wrestlers are definitely throwing great punches, with Sakshi winning a
