The High Court ruling in favour of the Rwanda policy "thoroughly vindicates" the Government's flagship scheme, Suella Braverman said on Monday evening. Ms Braverman had
previously vowed to "make the scheme work" amid continued opposition from human rights lawyers and Labour, and its legality has now been confirmed in a major boost for Rishi
Sunak's administration. The Home Secretary told MPs: "This judgment thoroughly vindicates the Rwanda partnership. I spoke earlier today with my Rwandan counterpart, the Rwandan
minister, Vincent Biruta, and we both confirmed our joint and steadfast resolve to deliver this partnership at scale as soon as possible. "It's what the overwhelming majority of
the British people want to see happen. The sooner it is up and running, the sooner we will break the business model of the evil gangs and bring an end to these illegal, unnecessary and
unsafe Channel crossings. "Our ground-breaking migration partnership with Rwanda will provide individuals relocated with support to build new lives there, while disrupting the business
model of people smuggling gangs putting lives at risk through dangerous and illegal small boat crossings."
