Fresh of the success of the controversial adult comedy _Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu_, Gautham Karthik has teamed up with director Muthaiah, popular for his rural-based projects such as

_Komban _and _Marudhu_, for a rural-based project. Titled _Devarattam_, the film was officially launched with a customary pooja on May 22 in Chennai. Over the weekend, the makers confirmed

that Manjima Mohan, who was launched by Gautham Vasudev Menon in _Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada_, has been signed opposite Gautham in the film.
