The News Minute | January 22, 2015 | 11:40 am ISTWhatsapp, the mobile messaging service has introduced a new feature which enables users to access the service through a web browser. The

international messaging service used by millions of people worldwide - and was recently acquired by social media giant Facebook, in its blogpost said: “Today, for the first time, millions

of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser.”The web client will have a copy of all your conversations and messages from your phone and vice versa. The service can be

accessed here through a Google Chrome browser, once Whatsapp's latest version is updated in your phone to make it compatible. When the website's opened, you will see a QR code which

needs to be scanned inside of WhatsApp (which is why the update is necessary) and it is ready. However, the web client takes up a lot of data usage and suggests to connect to Wi-Fi. This

service is currently available to Android, Windows and Blackberry users.iPhone owners won’t have access to to this for now, because “Apple has no background multi-tasking and no proper

push technology. So it is a bad user experience on iOS.” the Apple spokesperson said in a statement.Reports also suggest that that an iOS compatible version is coming, but the time frame

is unclear.TweetFollow @thenewsminute
