Salman Khan’s film, _Dabangg 3_, landed in controversy recently when a Hindu outfit objected to a sequence in the film’s title song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’. The outfit, named Hindu Janajagruti

Samiti, has demanded CBFC to halt the certification of the film. According to the group, the song has hurt the sentiments of Hindus as the choreography shows Sadhus dancing with a guitar in

hand, alongside Salman Khan, on the banks of the Ganges. On Saturday, during the launch of the song ‘Munna Badnaam’, featuring _Loveyatri _actor Warina Hussain, Salman was asked about the

demand to halt certification of the film. The actor said that he didn’t think there was “anything in the film that a controversy can be created” over. > “Every time a big film comes there

is always some controversy > around it. At least, it is acknowledged that this is a big film and > I’m happy about it.” Salman Khan He also referred to the controversy over the title

of his 2018 production, which was changed from ‘Loveratri’ to _Loveyatri_. “We had done a film with Warina, where the title of her film had led to controversy, which has been cleared and

dismissed. So controversies do happen, they get cleared,” he said. > “I don’t think there is anything in this film, that a > controversy can be created.” Salman Khan > This is not

the first time that the film has landed in controversy. > Earlier, photographs of a Shivling covered with wooden planks during > the shooting of the film that surfaced on social media

created a lot > of buzz. The images received flak for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. Rameshwar Sharma, a BJP MLA from Huzur in Bhopal, demanded that a FIR be filed

against those behind the incident, which he claimed, showed disrespect to Lord Shiva by building a set around the Shivalinga. The song release event was attended by co-producer of the film

Arbaaz Khan, director Prabhu Deva and actor Warina Hussain. Salman and Prabhu Deva also performed some dance moves from ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’. Also, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Sudeep and Mahie

Gill, _Dabangg 3_ releases in theatres on 20 December. Published: 01 Dec 2019, 4:39 PM IST
