During the enormously delayed _Jagga Jasoos _and the heated exchanges between Rishi Kapoor and Anurag Basu, one didn’t pay much attention to when Govinda walked in and out of the project.

His angry tweets about the ‘irresponsible director’ were quickly forgotten. But the veteran actor has spoken up again, this time revealing more details about why he quit the film. > Thank

you Rishi sir. At last you showed concern. Good blood never > speaks wrong... If I had said something, it would have been > perceived as a complaint. They did what they thought was

right and I > didn’t want to interfere. I am not here to fight. Govinda, Actor (as reported by Bombay Times) Govinda’s angry tweets had hinted at the project being all over the place, and

were probably a plea to Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor to take matters in their own hands. > 1/5 I gave full respect to Kapoor family i did the film because he > is my seniors son I

was told I will get the script. > — Govinda (@Govinda_HeroNo1) July 7, 2017 > 2/5 I was told they will narrate the film in South Africa and I dint > even charge my signing amount

made no contracts. > — Govinda (@Govinda_HeroNo1) July 7, 2017 > 3/5 I was unwell and on drips but still I traveled to South Africa > and did my shoot. > — Govinda

(@Govinda_HeroNo1) July 7, 2017 The actor thanked Rishi Kapoor in a recent interview for showing his concern about the film, at last. > 4/5 There were various negative stories and

negative articles only > for GOVINDA and that's how the film was remembered for 3yrs. > — Govinda (@Govinda_HeroNo1) July 7, 2017 > 5/5 I did my job as an actor and if the

director is not happy it's > completely his call. > — Govinda (@Govinda_HeroNo1) July 7, 2017 But, he’s taking the _Jagga Jasoos_ experience in his stride and is still open to the

idea of working with Anurag Basu in the future. > If Anurag offers me a film again, I might still do it as we all are > professionals. But this was petty and I no longer get affected

by > all this as I have seen this kind of behaviour for a while now. I > don’t want to wallow in self-pity, but when you are going through > a rough patch, you tend to get used to

this. My bungalow is close to > (Manmohan) Shetty _saab_’s in Juhu. So many filmy parties happen > there, but no celeb even bothers to say hello to me. _Log mujhe dekh > kar avoid

karte hain._ _Har kisi ka time hota hai._ I am content > with the fact that the public still likes me and mobs me wherever I > go. That is what I have earned over the years. Govinda

Ouch. Controversies do not seem to leave this project, do they? Published: 07 Jul 2017, 10:52 PM IST
