Mr. Ryan Peta currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Miami VA Healthcare System. Mr. Peta provides executive leadership and oversight of key operational services including Health


Information Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Police Service, Environmental Management, Facilities Management, Health Administration, Veterans Experience, Green Environmental


Management, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, and Emergency Management programs. Mr. Peta brings extensive experience and a longstanding connection to the Miami VA. He began his VA career here in


1998 as a nuclear medicine technologist before briefly transitioning to private sector hospitals in Puerto Rico. In 2002, he rejoined VA at the Caribbean VA Health Care System in San Juan,


Puerto Rico, and returned to Miami VA in 2004. Over the years, he advanced through progressively responsible roles, including health systems specialist to the associate director and later


supporting the executive leadership team. Most recently, Mr. Peta served as Associate Director for Operations at the VA Walla Walla Medical Center, where he was instrumental in leading


multiple critical operational functions. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Peta served as a corpsman from 1993 to 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Barry


University (Miami Shores, FL) and a Master of Business Administration from Interamerican University (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Mr. Peta’s deep-rooted commitment to Veteran care and operational


excellence continues to guide his leadership at the Miami VA Healthcare System.
